Website Updates
If you already have a website, you may not need our website development services. But we can help with regular updates and website maintenance, especially for individuals and businesses that have a difficult time navigating the computer and the tricky website updating process.
However your site is built (except ColdFusion currently), we can adapt to it and help you edit it. It's great if you already have logon information to the website or FTP information, but if you don't, we can help you track it down. We can help with regular html websites, e-commerce websites, Joomla sites, content management systems and more - we just need to sit down together and take a look and what you have and what you need.
We offer two options for website updates, hourly and unlimited updates packages.
Hourly Updates
We offer website development at our normal hourly rate of $75 an hour. But what if you don't need an hour's worth?
Here's how it works: we meet or talk on the phone about what updates you are going to need, and we determine how much time will be needed. We send you an invoice for either 1 hour of time or a block of 5, 10 or occasionally 20 hours (which come at 5-10% discounts). Once paid, we create a Project Report for our use and your reference which shows how much prepaid time you purchased, what we did with the time and how much time remains. See a sample Project Report here. We bill in 15 minute increments, so if you just need a little bitty update, we'll only use a little bitty bit of your prepaid time.
We have some customers that need frequent updates, sometimes once a week or more. And we have customers who need updates every 6 months. We'll work with you to determine what updates you might need and how frequently you might make them. If you anticipate fairly frequent updates, we might recommend one of our Unlimited Update Plans below.
How long does it take for White Crossroads to make an update?
It depends on the update! We strive to turn minor updates around within 1-3 days. But what's a minor update? Text and photo updates are minor. Adding a video, changing your website template or appearance and creating new email accounts at your domain are all examples of updates that are not quite so minor. We'll let you know what timeline we are working with for any medium or major updates. You can always let us know if you need a change made by a certain date, like for a special event or after sudden staff changes. We'll strive to meet that date - and we offer expedited services for immediate update needs.
Unlimited Update Plans
For our clients who anticipate frequent website updates, technical support or maintenance services, we offer Unlimited Update plans. These are very successful for our clients with regular updates like calendar changes, staff updates, weekly notices or specials and similar frequent updates. If these plans are not to your advantage, we'll tell you and suggest the hourly option instead. We have your best interests in mind - we are only successful when our clients are successful.
The Details
Unlimited website text or picture updates are made once weekly if requested.
Updates must be clearly specified by email, including exact text or photo changes and the website address of the page(s) needing updates. All files and photos must be received prior to the update. If clarification is needed, the update will be made the following week.
This plan does not include the creation of new website content, graphics, pages or template elements.

Some pages don't count, like form confirmation pages, pdf files and administrative-only pages. If you're not sure how many pages your website is, ask us and we'll do a little digging and let you know.
